Here is Our Staining Process

Prep: Dependable Painting and Remodeling usually begins by doing all necessary prep work prior to the clean and wash off of your deck or fence.

Wash: Dependable Painting and Remodeling will then power wash off the deck or fence to remove discolored or rotted wood fibers, dust, dirt, and debris to ensure a clean surface for the stain to be applied to if necessary. Deck or fence will be left alone to completely dry.

Products Used: We use water-based SuperDeck, WoodScapes, or equivalent on all decks or fences unless specified otherwise in the bid.

Product Application: Typically, one or two days later, after the wood has had proper time to dry, we will begin coating your project. Dependable Painting and Remodeling applies all coatings according to manufacturer specifications to ensure proper warranty. We apply all stains in a two-coat process. Usually, the coatings are applied the same day.

Clean: Dependable Painting and Remodeling will try to clean the job site cleaner than when we arrived. This includes picking up all trash and debris.

Touch-up Kit: A touch-up kit that includes a pint of each paint or product used is left in a labeled box for your convenience (when available). Each sample is labeled with the color name or number, type of product, sheen, and where it is located on the job.

Invoice: Upon completion, Dependable Painting and Remodeling email an invoice the day the job is complete. We then follow up with a “How did we Do?” customer satisfaction email. A receipt will be provided upon payment for your convenience and satisfaction. We encourage all customers to leave a review, whether positive or negative to help improve customer service.
