I am back with the final installment of our series on cost.
The goal? To educate you about what a project costs, how we arrive at that number, and why it’s priced a certain way.
At the end of the day, I ask our customers to consider that we've been in this industry a long time.
I’ve been doing this for 20 years, and running my own company for a decade. It has taken me, no exaggeration, more than $15 million worth of work to build the team we have today — which is second to none.
I’m confident in our experience, the quality of our work, and our industry knowledge.
Unfortunately, in contracting, it’s rarely apples-to-apples.
It breaks my heart every time — I know we can’t win every job — but I get sad when I see a project done a year or two ago, and now the customer is calling us to redo it because they just didn’t know better.
There is a cost to using highly skilled professionals.
The average painter on my team has been doing this for 15 years — that’s a wealth of experience.
Honestly, there’s no way to hire bottom-of-the-market labor and expect top-tier results.
I wish it were easier, but it’s just not.
We want people who take pride in their craft, who educate themselves, and who constantly improve to be the best they can be.
Ultimately, it’s not apples to apples.
I always approach my business with the focus on offering a fair price — one that:
We’re human. When something goes wrong, we stand behind our work.
We check in with our customers year after year, and if issues arise, we fix them — no questions asked.
While issues are rare, with over $15-20 million in projects, things happen.
But I promise this: we do the right thing every single time.
Every person on my team is a professional, world-class, second-to-none.
I take this very seriously — it’s my livelihood, and I want to leave this to my kids someday.
I also want a brand that people can trust.
To me, transparency is everything.
90% of our business is repeat customers, and we’re dedicated to serving them at the highest level.
In the long run, choosing a professional pays off tremendously.
Some services, like cabinet refinishing, are critical — if done poorly (by someone who just slaps on hardware store paint), there's often very little we can do about it afterward, or the cost of fixing it becomes crazy high.
Some projects are one-shot deals, and others are more forgiving — we can come in and fix things if needed.
At the end of every job, I want to leave knowing we did the absolute right thing.
Whether it’s exterior painting, deck staining, or fence work, I want our clients to get results that serve them for years, without having to spend again.
If you have any questions, I’m here to help our community.
This community has been so welcoming to me and my family — if there’s anything I can do for you, I’ve got your back.
