School Bus Yellow is a color developed in 1939 specifically for use on school buses in North America. Originally officially called National School Bus Chrome, the color is now officially known as National School Bus Glossy Yellow in Canada and the United States. For many years the pigment for this color was lead-based chrome yellow.
