Jonquil (color)

Jonquil is a shade of yellow. It is the color of the inside of the central cylindrical tubular protuberance of the daffodil flower. The color takes its name from a species of plant, Narcissus jonquilla, which has small yellow fragrant flowers and is native to the Mediterranean region. The first known use of daffodil as a color name in English was in 1789.
