Persian green

Persian green is a color used in Iran for Persian ceramics and carpets. It is also used in the architecture of religious places. Other colors associated with Persia include Persian Rose, Persian Rose, Persian Red, and Persian Blue. The color Persian Green gets its name from the green color of some Persian pottery and is a representation of the color of the mineral malachite. It is a popular color in Iran as the color green symbolizes gardens, nature, heaven and holiness. The first recorded use of Persian green as a color name in English was in 1891 due to traditional Persian architecture.
